A meaningful way to remember loved ones and to help our rescued animals is
through a gift to Chatham Animal Rescue and Education.
Gifts may be given in memory of a loved ones or beloved pets,
as gifts on special occasions such as birthdays, new adoptions or holidays,
or to honor people or organizations.
If you choose to send a donation in honor of or in memory of someone,
we will notify the person you designate that a gift has been received
from you for the occasion you wish. The amount remains confidential -
only our acknowledgement to you will appear on the letter.
We are currently investigating ways to acknowledge your memorial or honor
on our Web site. This will likely take the form of a personal message,
with an optional photograph.

CARE has several donation programs available, in conjunction with other companies
and organizations:
-
eBayers donate a portion of your sales to C.A.R.E: When you list items for sale on eBay, you can donate a percentage
of your sales to C.A.R.E through the eBay charitable giving program, Giving Works. Give as little as 10% or as much as
100% from anything you sell ($5 minimum donation required). When listing an item on eBay, pick the percentage you
wish to donate you will then be asked to select the non-profit you want your donation to go to. C.A.R.E is a certified nonprofit
listed in MissionFish, which coordinates eBay.s Giving Works. Enter "Chatham Animal Rescue and Education,
Inc." or browse the list by clicking on C, scrolling to page 39 for C.A.R.E..s listing. Click on "Learn More" to see what other
items are listed by C.A.R.E as a direct seller or by community sellers like you for the benefit of C.A.R.E. When your item is
listed it will appear with the eBay Giving Works icon along with information about C.A.R.E and the percentage of the
sales price that will be donated. When the listing ends, you pay MissionFish, who distributes the funds to C.A.R.E and
provides you a tax receipt. You also receive a credit from eBay of a percentage of your insertion and final value fees in the
same percentage as your donation.
For a step-by-step explanation of this entire process go to http://www.missionfish.org/ForSellers/forsellers.jsp.
