Firewood Fundraiser
Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (CARE) is sponsoring a firewood fundraiser. All proceeds from the firewood sale go directly to help the animals of CARE.

The firewood is available from CARE's friends at Companion Camp (3408 Castle Rock Farm Road, Pittsboro, 919-545-2267) by appointment only during the hours of 8-10 AM or 4-6 PM Monday-Saturday. Sales of firewood begin on Monday, December 14th. Please call to place your order and set up your appointment to pick up the wood by calling Companion Camp at 919-545-2267.

The firewood is cut to fireplace length and is split. The wood includes oak, maple, sweet gum, beech, elm, and some persimmon (no pine).

Pricing:

  • $50 for a small pickup truck load (approximately 1/4 of a cord)
  • $90 for a large pickup truck load (approximately 1/2 of a cord)
  • $15 for a "car trunk" bundle (approximately 1/12 of a cord)


Cash or good checks (payable to CARE) are welcome.
