I am a very sweet girl, a bit shy but smart and loving. I hear my purr is mesmerizing. I love the other kitties in my foster home, and really like the family dogs.
I'll need to be adopted by an experienced cat person in a home with grown children. I'm really no trouble though. I'm just a very sweet girl that loves to sit in window seats and watch outdoor TV. I enjoy my life but really want a family of my own!
I was x-rayed as a kitten only because of my littermate's physical issues and learned I have very mild hip dysplasia. It isn't noticeable and hasn't bothered me at all. I lead a very normal life except one thing I don't do is jump on the countertops. I hear that's a good thing! I'll make a great addition to your family. Please submit an application today.

Smart, very loving girl. Loves a warm lap and makes a great sleeping buddy!

"Howdy! I'm pretending I'm a Western kitty because I've heard that's where the tree I'm named after grows. Actually, living in NC didn't prepare me for being a cowgirl kitty, so I've tried to pay special attention when my foster Dad watches TV. I've seen pictures of cows, mostly when they are mooing "Eat more Chickin" but that's about the extent of my studies. I will tackle just about anything that moves, so keep that in mind if you're still wearing flip flops and value your toes. I'm sure if you'd keep your socks on this winter, I'll probably be over it by the time Spring rolls around. Anyway, I really love watching squirrels and birds outside when I'm not busy playing or napping w/my littermates. I really like them a lot, so it'd be great if you can take two of us (it's only Cherry and me left). Or let my rescue person know who you might have at home that can keep me entertained."

"Meow there! Like most kittens, I have a story to meow. From my name, one might think I'm red (I'm not, I'm a very unusual mix colors, apricot, brown, beige, maybe some black here and there for punctuation) and have a hard spot in my center (my center is a very tender, sensitive place that will permit human touch if I'm half-asleep or you smell like my momma). I'm named after a TREE, for meowing out loud, because the woman that rescued us wanted tree NAMES for my sisters, brother and me. So here we are. I'm the most independent thinking and acting of the litter; not one to be wooed by sweet talk or fancy toys if I don't see the personal benefit. My momma was also very independent, and she taught me it's best to not let anyone see my soft-side too often. That meowed, I'm very beautiful and love-love to play. So, before I get too excited about the idea of going home with anyone, my agent needs to make sure there will be someone with whom to play, snuggle and bat around when the mood strikes me! If you appreciate cats for their independent nature, then you totally get what I'm meowing here."

Cherry is uniquely beautiful, exceptionally smart and playful and so ready for her own forever home. For the health and happiness of all the kittens, I strongly recommend you consider adopting either a littermate (Aspen) or other kitten close in age (with whom she has a comfortable relationship already in her foster home). Reduced adoption fee for more than one. This could be the fun family you've been looking for, call 919-935-3792 for more information.

This little gray tabby girl is Stella. She, like foster brother Jake, wants to be an indoor kittie where she can be a snuggle bug. She is happy being with other kitties and would love to share a home with Jake. She was found in a busy warehouse in Siler City with her brother. She was vocal in asking for food and attention. I took them home so they wouldn't get hurt or worse. She was under a pound and loaded with fleas. She's now a beautiful, healthy baby, up to date on all her shots and just as sweet as can be. She plays well with other kitties and people. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Meet Jake. He's looking to be an indoor kitty with people who will love and play with him. His beginning was rough, outside the Food Lion in Siler City early August. He called to me and when I responded he came out from under the shopping carts, covered in ticks and fleas, and weighing a little over 1 lb. Now he's a very handsome, healthy young boy who is great with people and the other 3 kitties in his foster home. He would love to go his forever home with Stella (his foster sister who is also on this site). Jake is up to date on all his shots and he neutered.

"I am waiting as patiently as my anxious little body will let me for my forever home to appear from nowhere on the horizon and feel the magnetic pull of my lonely heart. How is that for a first draft of my latest poem? Needs some work, you say. I thought so. My teacher said to meow from my heart and that's what came out. I'm having some self-esteem issues, you see, because my trust in humans was shattered when they tried to put me out of my misery. Except you see, I wasn't miserable. I wanted to live but they gave me no choice. Then a kind-hearted woman came along and saved me and my little family. I'm in a good place now and my foster mommy tells me I'm beautiful. She wants me to have more love and attention than she can give me. I'm hoping YOU, out there, will JUMP on this fantastic opportunity to own your very own mini-black panther!! Foster Mom says I'm easy to have around because I don't make messes nor any demands. I'm happy to eat and nap and watch birds and squirrels out the windows. And nap some more. If you have space in your heart to give me a chance, I promise to be a great kitty for you, too."

Rachel is beautiful and low maintenance. She tolerates other cats but would be most happy as an only kitty. She has experience with dogs and is happy to let them live their lives in peace as they don't get in her face. She might warm up to dogs, over time, but she'd need to see the benefit! Rachel will make someone a lovely companion. Please call 919-935-3792 for more information, her adoption fee is $90.

"My brother, Rudy, said it all. Except I'm more beautiful than him. Because I'm female and he needs to be handsome. But we are a very pretty, adorable set. I'm very lady like and self-cleaning and love to cuddle. If I need to climb your chair or legs or whatever to get to your hands that want to caress and tickle me, no worries. My favorite place is on a lap or in a human's arms. If you're looking for a super-affectionate kitty-girl, that's me. Cooler is here, so why not get your lap warmers now and avoid the rush! Please call the number below and I'll be happy to arrange for an interview as soon as your application is approved!"

Rosie is beautiful, playful and perfectly litter box trained. Super affectionate girl. You won't be disappointed if you're looking for an affectionate companion. "I didn't know I was running for office, but I just learned I've been elected to be my foster's home advocate for black cats! Ya'll may know that black cats (and dogs, go figure) are often the last ones to find the loving, caring homes we so deserve. Let me begin by 'splaining away some of the "FAKE NEWS" about black cats: 1) Superstitions are just that. Like vampires and witchcraft. Maybe it's time to expand your horizons; the Celts and many Asian nations view black cats as a sign of good luck. 2) Majestic and elegant, with our bright, piercing eyes against silky black fur. What is not to love? 3) Black never goes out of fashion! And when you're wearing that little black dress, or T, or jeans, our fur won't show. 4) Black cats are THE most easy-going cats ever. We get along with other cats better than anyone. If you've ever tried to get a calico and a tortoiseshell to get along, you'll appreciate what I'm saying. That's all I have for now, on behalf of myself and black cats everywhere, I hope I'm off to a good start! Besides all of that, I'm just an energetic, playful, cuddle baby that will climb your jeans just to see if your legs have any feeling! Let your love affair with black cats begin with me. Thanks for your time!"

Rudy is very well-mannered and an entertaining delight to have around. He dependably uses a litter box and will play by himself if you're too busy. He has an equally beautiful sister, Rosie, that we'd love to see stay with him. Reduced adoption fee for both. Rudy's adoption fee is $100. Call 919-935-3792 for more information.

"Meowy! I'm a little bigger than the zillions of baby kittens everywhere, but let me 'splain to you why you should consider letting me become part of your family. I'm at an age you can see (for yourself) how cute my personality is. I'm not a run-around-like crazy cat, jumping, flying through mid-air at imaginary objects or climbing up your jeans. I'm a little more reserved and think things through before running around like crazy and making flying leaps at real objects that capture my curiosity! While I enjoy playing with younger kittens (if you happen to have any), I also appreciate older cats and find their maturity makes them better conversationalists. I can talk up a storm, but usually only if I've something I think needs to be said. Never mind it will take you a while to figure out what it is I'm meowing about. I'm quiet as long as everything is going my way! I hope you have other fur kids with whom I can cuddle for naps. You see, I'm a pretty well-rounded girl that offers lots of options. I also like laps, if you have someone that sits still long enough for me to catch a few Zs. Please call my people and see if we're a match!"

Cosette is wise beyond her months and playful but not demanding. She would make an entertaining, easy-going addition to any family. Adoption fee is $100, please call 919.935.3792 for more information.

OK, I might be on the shyer side, but I am gentle and what you call 'low maintenance'. I LOVE food and you can probably win me over with a special treat, then you will have a true friend! I am independent, but do enjoy petting, and I used to sleep snuggled up with my 'Mom'. I have a very best friend, his name is George. I am told we are quite the duo. I think I might be braver if he came along with me. So really, we are a 2 for one special! I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and FeLV/FIV negative, and so is George, the gray tabby.

"Meow! I mean "Hi!" I only speak when I have something to say, so be patient while I get my words together. I've figured out that when I want something (which isn't often, as I'm very laid back and generally don't need much) it doesn't hurt to ask. I've only been in foster homes for a few months now, but I've had some buddies go away in carriers to what's called a 'forever home.' From what I can tell, that seems to be the best thing for which an orphan like me can hope! I was someone's sweet, loving companion, a real lover boy, she called me. Then over time she became unable to take care of me so here I am. I would be happy in a family with kids, cats, or just me and you. I think I might be a lap cat, if that is something you'd like to explore! I don't have experience with dogs, but if they are well behaved and respectful, I'm willing to give them a shot (or a hiss and a scratch if they are rude and scare me!). My nap time is important, and I love soft cushions and warm blankets. Windows are good, too. Birds and squirrels are better than TV."

DaddyO is a low maintenance boy that is one of the most agreeable, easy to have around cats we've seen in a long time. He's got a classy aura around him and cares about his appearance, handsome as he is. He deserves to have a home of his own again and will adapt and blend in easily with his very own forever family. Please call 919.935.3792 for more information or click on his photo to fill out an adoption application and arrange a visit. Adoption fee is $100

"A few years back my name was popular among human baby boys. I guess at the time my owner didn't know she was going to have her own baby boy one day, so she named me "Legion." It means "unusual or surprising!" I've no idea what that is about, as in my humble opinion, I'm just another (very handsome) guy. I'm like any other guy (cat or human) that enjoys watching TV (the more wildlife the better), eating and napping. But unlike human guys, I promise I won't break your heart! If you let me into your home, I'll be the best kitty ever. I won't leave without telling you where I'm going. Actually, I won't leave period because I don't know how to be an outside cat. I'm good at playing (fishing pole toys or laser dots are faves) and being easy going. Please give me a chance to show you what a good kitty I am."

Legion is a low maintenance kitty that enjoys the simple-cat life. He gets along with other cats (when properly introduced and given some time to adjust) and dogs. Call 919-935-3792 for more info or to arrange to meet Legion. Adoption fee is $100.00.

"I'm a Torti. "Tortoiseshell" for those of you not familiar with cats wearing this beautiful coat. And if you're not familiar, you have a bit to learn about our personalities! If you ARE familiar with Tortishells, then you need read no further.

You'd never know it to look at me now; sleek, graceful, shiny fur, sparkle in my eyes and on the lookout for a lap on which to nap. But my life didn't start out so grand; it was a cold, freezing, raining night last winter when someone found me near an ATM machine in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I was very hungry and later discovered to have pneumonia and a broken rib. Thank the cat goddess for the kind soul that saw me cold, hungry and sick and saved my life. But! Those days are long gone and I am here to tell you I fully embrace the duties and responsibilities that come with being a Torti. I require my beauty sleep and otherwise will summon you when I'm in need of room service. You may request an appointment for the pleasure of my company and I'll see if I can work you into my demanding schedule (of napping, playing and watching out the windows)."

Carli doesn't intend to sound snobby, but she is, after all, a Torti. She's beautiful and sweet and is currently accepting applications for her full-time staff. She gets along well with other cats and dogs, and of course needs humans to adore and take care of her! Call 919.935.3792 to arrange to meet this pretty girl.

"I've traveled a long road and was fortunate enough to be taken in when I was young to a loving foster home where I was allowed to be my scared-self, yet they fed me and made sure I was safe. I'm growing in confidence every day, but still have a ways to go. My sister, Patches, and I are a just alike, and she has been by my side the whole way, every day! I'm cautious about exploring new situations but I know I have the capacity to be a sweet and fun companion, and will return the love shown to me. Humans just need to give me a chance to continue to grow, become confident, and blossom into the purr-fect companion I want to become. And if you're the purr-fect human with a big heart and patience to let me and Patches stay together, we will make sure our adoption fee is reduced just for you!"

Bandit (and Patches too) will be most happy in a home with experienced cat owners. Patience is very important all around to help these little girls adjust to new surroundings and continue to grow their trust with humans. Ideally you have other kitties with whom Bandit can be friends, but if not, there is a reduced adoption fee for Bandit and her litter mate, Patches, or one of her other kitty friends. Hello! We are reaching out to anyone who can foster or give a permanent home to a neutered male FIV positive kitty! "Mac and Cheeks" is extremely affectionate towards people but is not a fan of dogs and is approximately 4 years old. He was left on the front door step at Cole Park Veterinary Hospital in a carrier. When he came to us he was not neutered, had numerous broken teeth, fleas, ear mites and wounds right above his ears from scratching so much. We've since neutered and vaccinated him, removed his broken teeth, dewormed him, started him on flea prevention and have gotten rid of his ear mites. His wounds are healing very nicely! While under anesthesia for his dental we found that at some point his jaw had been broken along with one of his rear legs and one front leg. This poor guy has had a tough short life. Mac and Cheeks seems very happy indoors and also uses his litter box well.

If anyone is interested in helping this sweetheart out please call Cole Park Veterinary Hospital at (919) 929-3352.

FIV cats can live normal lives and can live safely with other non-FIV cats if they do not fight with each other and are spayed/neutered. For information about FIV please take a look at http://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs and http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm

"You might say I was born under a wandering star. I've had the craving to be "Explorer Kitty" since I was big enough to walk. So far, that's turned out pretty well for me. My biggest adventure was stowing away inside a vehicle that went fast down the road without knowing I was hiding in the engine-part. I let them know I was ready to debark and some kind hearted human plucked me out and the rest is history. No more searching for food and a place to stay warm; soft beds and big dogs are much better than car engines. I'm very beautiful, in case you haven't noticed, and just as beautiful inside. I love watching TV or snoozing by the fireplace; whatever you like, I'll be there with you!"

Mabel is anxious to fit right into some lucky family! One or two other cats (max) would be good; she sometimes gets insecure and is happier not having too much competition for human attention/affection. She's good with medium to large dogs. Call 919.935.3792 for more information or to arrange to meet Mabel.

"What a winter it's been, or so I've heard. Thankfully, I'm living in a cozy house with other foster kitties. We have many warm places to sleep and good food. The only thing we could hope for is our very own, personal humans to give us more and more TLC! Our foster family is great, but they have too many kitty-kids. I'd like more lap time, more play time and someone with whom to share my life. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, easy-going companion, please arrange to meet me! I went to PetSmart a couple of times, but it was so scary there I wasn't myself. I hid in the litter box and no one could see me. I'm much more social in my familiar environment, please complete an application so you can meet me! Meow! (Thanks)"
