Frenchie and Doobie – BFFs

In April, my daughters and I went on the hunt for a couple cats to add to our family. As the one who would be mostly responsible for taking care of the cats, I wanted to skip the work involved in kittens and go straight to the good stuff: a cat who was old enough to be fairly calm but still energetic and playful while also already knowing the ins and outs of a litter box. Since I’ve got a firm policy of friends for everyone, I wanted to get two siblings or bonded cats that way no one got lonely when the human members of the family were otherwise occupied. We really lucked out with finding Frenchie and Doobie. After spending some time with them, it broke my heart to be told no one had been interested in Doobie before, likely due to some early illnesses he experienced but recovered fully from (thanks to the awesome work of his foster mom and CARE). After almost four months with this dynamic duo, I can say we have no regrets. We all enjoy the moments when those two chase each other through the house just as much as when they curl up in a lap to snooze and purr. Our gratitude to CARE for doing such a wonderful job of taking care of our new family members until we could find them!
