Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to CARE’s mission and the wellness of our animals. There are many ways to volunteer with CARE. Because we rely on volunteers to help us with nearly everything we do, reliability and commitment are very important to us. We invest time in training our volunteers to ensure a safe and meaningful experience, so we ask that our volunteers commit to at least 6 months of service, and hopefully longer.
Become a Foster Caregiver
Chatham Animal Rescue & Education, Inc. (CARE) depends on a unique and dedicated group of foster volunteers to help us save more lives! CARE does not have a shelter, therefore we can only rescue as many animals as we have space for in our volunteer foster caregiver network. Longer-term foster caregivers are needed and we ask for at least a year commitment. By fostering a homeless animal, you can experience the joys of helping an animal in need. However, fostering is not necessarily easy. Fostering takes a great deal of time and energy – both emotional and physical.
