Do you think your cat or dog is the next Renoir or Picasso?
Now’s your chance to bring their talents to the forefront by participating in our Pet-Casso contest! Check out the supplies list and instructional videos below to learn how to have your dog or cat make the artwork. Submit your artwork (details below). Then the fun really begins as you encourage your family and friends to donate and vote for your pet’s masterpiece.

Supplies:
- Paper
- Gallon size Ziploc bag
- Acrylic paints
- For dogs: peanut butter or similar spreadable treat
- For cats: tuna juice or laser pointer or cat dancer toy
When your pet’s masterpiece is complete, head to our QGiv fundraising site. Read the instructions “To enter your pet’s masterpiece” on the home page, then go ahead and Register.* You’ll find detailed instructions for completing your personal fundraising page right on that page when you get to it. Check out an example page here. It takes about 15 minutes total, including adding your pet’s image as your profile picture (important for the Gallery main page).
* $10 registration fee.
Then, engage your friends and family to vote for your entry. Each vote ($10 minimum) is a donation to CARE!
The winner will have their artwork hung in Liquidambar, an art gallery/gift shop in downtown Pittsboro and be featured in a CARE newsletter.
